Communications · Impact Finance · Asia-Pacific

I help impact finance tell its story to the people who need to hear it.

Narrative strategy, thought leadership, and visual communications for impact funds, climate facilities, and the institutions that back them. Based in Chiang Mai, working across Southeast Asia.

About

Strong deals, told in language capital can act on.

Most funds in climate and impact finance are built by scientists, engineers, and development professionals. They structure good deals and build credible pipelines. What often goes missing is the communications layer that turns that work into something an investor, a development bank, or a government can quickly understand and move on.

That layer is what I build. I work embedded rather than at arm's length: I sit inside the thinking, learn the investment thesis, and translate it outward across every audience that matters, from institutional LPs to DFI co-investors to project partners on the ground.

I don't simplify the substance. I translate it. The result is communications that sound like they come from inside the organisation, because they were built from inside it.

Narrative strategy

One coherent story, adapted for LPs, development banks, and partners.

Thought leadership

Research-driven, evidence-backed content that builds authority.

Visual communications

Pitch decks, impact reports, and infographics that carry the argument.

Embedded model

A partner who learns the work, not an agency delivering from outside.

Selected Work

Communications built from inside the work.

Nature-Based Finance · Southeast Asia

01

Xylem Capital

Embedded Communications Partner

Xylem is a nature-based finance fund investing in carbon credits, agroforestry, and ecosystem restoration across Asia. The methodology was rigorous and the pipeline was credible. What was missing was a narrative that connected the ecological work to the commercial return in a way institutional LPs could evaluate and compare.

What I did

  • Built a single narrative architecture connecting ecological integrity to the commercial thesis, and used it as the foundation for every other asset.
  • Designed the institutional LP pitch deck: technically rigorous, with a clear arc from problem to opportunity to track record.
  • Created an LP report template that balanced hard impact data (carbon, hectares, biodiversity) with plain-language updates.
  • Set the brand positioning that separated Xylem from commodity-grade carbon credit operators.

Outcome

Xylem moved from 'interesting but unclear' to credible and investable in LP conversations. The team began describing the fund the same way, and each new piece of content reinforced the same story.

Mekong Center for Climate Finance

Content Strategist & Communications Partner

MCCF works where policy, development, and investment meet in the Mekong region. They needed communications that could educate policymakers and investors without watering down technical substance, and a system that could sustain it. I helped build the engine.

What I did

  • Set a content strategy for an audience that spots shallow work immediately: clarity without oversimplification, real frameworks, real implications.
  • Wrote long-form, evidence-backed thought leadership (2,000+ words) designed to inform decision-makers and attract investor attention.
  • Framed difficult technical topics (climate disclosure, ISSB alignment, Scope 3) so finance and policy readers could actually use them.
  • Directed a cleaner, more institutional visual style and built a repeatable, AI-assisted production workflow.

Outcome

MCCF moved from generic sustainability messaging to a serious, informed voice in climate finance, backed by a content system that kept quality consistent as output scaled.

Vietnam's green decade has started, a ten-year story unfolding now.The case is solid: 18.6 GW solar, $135B power investment mandated, $15.5B JETP committed, VIFC live.Headlines miss the rest: deals reward presence, partner trust, and locally-anchored structures. It is not a transaction market, it is a relationship market. The fastest investors aren't winning, the patient ones are.
1 / 5

A five-slide case for why Vietnam's climate transition is now an execution story, not a forecast.

What gets announced versus what actually deploys capital.

'Bankability' is a finance word.It tells founders, operators, and journalists they are in the wrong room.Bankability reframed as investment readiness: same work, different room. What's actually missing: financial architecture, unit economics, governance, local partner stack. When we call it investment readiness, the conversation opens up.What gets lost when finance has its own private vocabulary?
1 / 6

A six-slide reframe of the jargon that quietly keeps capital and good projects in different rooms.

Validation needs soil, not slides.

81 applied, 13 advanced. Vietnam's 2026 climate cohort, and the number underneath it.$352M: combined value of the 13 CFA Vietnam projects selected to make investment-ready.The number worth sitting with is 68: the applicants that did not advance, for lack of investment-ready structure. What capital needs first: sound structure, evidenced economics, de-risked delivery, an investable counterpart. Not the size of the cheque. The distance from promising to investable. The money is ready. The pipeline is the work.

A read on a Vietnam climate cohort, and why the binding constraint is readiness, not capital.

A single-idea insight card for a capital-structuring series.
